Trace Uganda is a Christian faith-based non-profit organization based in Kampala, Uganda. Our mission is to empower disadvantaged slum and street children, connecting and providing them with reliable alternatives to street life.

Two years pass and number of street children who needed assistance had continued to increase, due in part to the increased cost of living in Uganda. It was clear that this problem was worsening and the need would continue to increase,  so Trace Uganda was born. Initially, projects were run informally with efforts focused on providing basic support, such as food and medical care to the children that needed it most. Eventually, through the assistance of family, friends and early donors, Trace Uganda was able to expand to rent a hostel so that they could provide more services to children, like stable place to live and the chance to go to school.

In May 2012, Trace Uganda was officially registered as a non-profit organization in Canada. This enabled Trace to expand operations to other projects such as “Street Children’s Canopy” (an environmental education/tree planting), and skill-building (photography & craft-making), with others in the works.
